In the late 1970s, Dwight Stenson, ’19 , was a Theology major at Oakwood. His sister Regina was also enrolled at the Oaks.
“Because of my brother, I am the Chief of Nursing Operations at a medical center,” says Regina Stenson Wallace, ‘ 79 . She said that her brother Dwight used his survivor benefit check after their father passed to keep his sister enrolled at Oakwood. Now, 40 years later — it was his turn to graduate. He enrolled in Oakwood’s Adult & Continuing Education Program, completed his degree, and marched with the class of 2019.
