Oakwood’s Art n soul Hosts Lovapalooza

by Phillip Pringle, student writer
Art n Soul is a unique club which began in 1993 by a group of Oakwood students who all cultivated a love for God, poetry and performance. The club is meant to be a safe place for students to express and share whatever is on their minds and hearts through poetry, photography and other forms of artistic expression.
Each year, Art n Soul produces various programs where they share their poetry, music, art and photography with the rest of the student body. Events are always an experience to remember.
Last week’s Lovopalooza was no exception. “It’s essentially one of our favorite times of the year,” says Sam Ramsey, the 2018-2019 president. “For Art n Soul, it’s never just about the romantic side of love, there are all types of love and we like to express them all.” Lovapolooza is seen as a special tradition for the club.

The show took place at Moran Hall. In partnership with III Oaks, Art n Soul held a special giveaway drawing at the end of the show.
