Maquisha Ford Mullins , Ph.D, M.S., has been named the Interim Director of Integrated Marketing & Public Relations (IMPR) at Oakwood University. Dr. Mullins is an Oakwood University graduate who has served as the Assistant Director of IMPR since January 2019 in addition to serving as an adjunct faculty member teaching Principles of Public Relations and Foundational Theories of Leadership. She pursued her undergraduate education in communications and doctoral studies in leadership at HBCUs, Oakwood University and North Carolina A&T State University, respectively. Her Master of Science in Advertising from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications steered her to work in both the business and nonprofit arenas in marketing departments, community relations and small business consulting. She is a member of both the Public Relations Society of America and the International Leadership Association. University President, Leslie Pollard, comments: “We are delighted to have Dr. Ford Mullins serve in this capacity. Her training is extremely valuable and she will be an asset to the University.”
