Tomorrow evening, the Department of Communication will host the Dykes-Rivers Lecture Series, in the Peters Media Center. The guests lecturer is Ms. Liz Anderson, ’96 . She has loved radio since her days at Oakwood College where, as a freshman, she landed her first job as an afternoon news anchor and weekend DJ. That’s when the radio bug bit, and she’s been in love ever since! Her career and education have taken her through country radio, work in Christian talk and gospel formats, through teaching, and earning a master’s degree at American University in Washington, D.C. She currently works as an editor and reporter at WTOP-FM, an all-news radio station in the Washington-D.C. metro area. WTOP News broadcasts on 103.5 in D.C., and can be heard via , the WTOP app, and on Alexa. In her spare time, she produces and hosts the Planet Noun podcast, blogs at , and pops up on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram from time to time @planetnoun.
