This week, we are highlighting a service provided by the Business and Technology Department during 2018-2019.

Working together, the faculty and staff participated in sorting food at the Food Bank of North Alabama and served lunch at the Downtown Rescue Mission. The volunteers also divided into two groups to assist with delivering Meals on Wheels on two routes monthly. During the month of November, monetary donations were collected to support the Downtown Rescue Mission Thanksgiving Food Program.

Participation in these community programs met the need for many families while supporting the agencies with manpower to continue providing daily services for area residents.

Please join us in sustaining support for services like this for our neighbors. Designate Oakwood University CFC Code: 96964, September 2019-January 2020.

If you have any questions about giving to Oakwood through the CFC, please contact Miriam Battles, at, or (256) 726-7508
