Jeff Williamson, ’85

Jeff Williamson, ’85 , has recently been appointed as Communications Manager for Orange County, Florida. This is a key staff appointment in the office of Orange County Mayor-Elect Jerry L. Demings.

Since 2010, Williamson has served as Public Information Officer and Spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and has more than 22 years of professional experience in communications. He worked as an award-winning broadcast news journalist in various markets including WJHG-TV, Panama City Beach, SNN; the New York Times Cable News Station in Sarasota; and WVLT-TV in Knoxville, TN. After graduating with a B.A. in Business Adminisration from Oakwood, he earned an M.A. degree from New York University, and a Ph.D. degree in sociology from the University of Central Florida. MORE
